Meet Our Expedition Leaders
Kumaran is a Geologist and the founder of the Paddle for Future Initiative. He has paddled over 7000 kilometres in different countries, setting several records and achieving substantial milestones. His mission is to promote conservation of water bodies by reconnecting people to Nature through water sports, outdoor sciences, and expeditions. His “Discover Geology and Outdoor Basics” provides exposure of geology, outdoor basics, and sustainability practices to students.
Veera, our Operations Manager is a farmer and a seasoned certified water rescue and kayaking instructor. He has a very intricate knowledge of River Kollidam and the local culture. He along with his family are the MVPs of the camp, with them being the go-to people for anything and everything required for the smooth and efficient functioning of events, expeditions, and programs.
Amrutha is a Lawyer and Outdoor Science Educator. A passionate advocate for environment and conservation, she currently manages Bay of Life Surf School and Ocean Literacy in Chennai. With expertise in teaching "Learn-to-Swim" programs and educating adventure water sports enthusiasts about Ocean Literacy and Safety, Amrutha brings leadership skills and safety knowledge to her guiding role.
Prabhu is a certified and trained Standup Paddling Instructor. As a native, his knowledge about the environment and people is very essential in the operations. A farmer and a former banker, his passion for this sport is reflected in the intensity of coaching and his "let's have fun but safety-first" approach. With Prabhu in your expeditions, you are guaranteed to have a solid experience.
